Stan Getz - in his own world.

...or performed before in some cases

I actually really like the string arrangement here, it's woody, warm, sincere and complementary, not the steely, polished, impersonal and insipid obligatory "strings" attached to some jazz and strings albums. This reminds me more of Parker with strings, where it feels like the strings really have something to say and are participating with the sax (I think cos they performed together, not over-dubbed later).

Smooth and relaxing - love this Getz tune.

JazzyLinn, I didnt know you dig Stan Getz! I like this especially, the string background does something for me....kinda like a like a waltz but then it goes into a bossanova...as usual great post on your part.

This is just breathtaking .. I almost always prefer the instrumental version of this song to vocal covers, and Stan Getz's take is no exception. Beautiful.
