@RingoTsubaree ah well you must read the light novels theyre quite important to the story actually.

I doesn't matter how much I love Emiri Character CD...But I still think that the computer-guy (the president of the club and blahblahblah) deserved a Character CD.

well, even if they didn't have too many major parts, Emiri Kimidori is an even better example. They consider her a "major character" and make a character CD for her, but she only appears in like, 1 scene this season of the anime...

The first season of TMOHS is only based on the first original light novel. There are many other light novels for the entire story and season two of Haruhi is based on the second book.
And you'll see more of those two characters, trust me.

Ryoko did, and only for the first 3ish episodes in the story line before they killed her. Tsuruya only appeared as the best friend to Mikuru, there's nothing about her as a person so she doesn't make much for a character in an Anime series as I think she deserves... But that's just my opinion...
