  • ummmm... why is everyone comparing Hockey to NCAA Basketball??????? redculous... apples to oranges.... why not compare it to boxing as well. I am not even a hockey fan but fighting is part of that sport.... fighting is NOT a part of basketball.

  • @jandrews11111 wrong....fighting isnt or i should say shouldnt be part of any sport.

  • They're fortunate for their skills as athletes, most of these idiots couldn't flip burgers or sell shoes. I'm going to laugh if any scholarships get revoked. Shameful.

  • Like for Frease's facekick! He got what he asked for.

  • @viktorrox I don't get your point. You say its not allowed, but then you say the "NFL" (considering you made a mistake and meant NHL).. that it is encouraged.

Fighting has become part of the game, and a developing strategy. While it may not be allowed by the rule book, it's still allowed during games up to the point that it doesn't get out of control.. ex. bench clearing, fan-player fights, etc.

Otherwise, single fights are never broken up if both players AGREE and want to fight.

  • @systema3run Buddy, I use to play hockey. For years in MIF (today Redhawks in Sweden). According to the rule book fighting is NOT allowed. Period. Google it. Of course its inevitable, still not allowed. It just NFL that ENCOURAGE it (smaller field etc).. Refs everywhere except for US intervenes the fight at some point . "Fighting is illegal in the NHL, the North American junior leagues, and other North American professional minor leagues, where a five-minute major penalty is given"

  • @viktorrox Buddy, if you play hockey, that's common sense. Obviously you don't, so don't question him. Every sport's got its fights, just in hockey, it's almost inevitable, and part of the game. If you had this in basketball, you'd have guys kicking each other in the head and nuts. Know why? Cuz that's just what basketball players do. Hockey players have more respect for each other. I play basketball and hockey, so if you're going to say anything to me, know that I see both sides of it.

  • Frease finally got what he deserved

  • now you see why UNC CHARLOTTE hated those cincinatti BASTARDS so much!!

  • @Cluez31Prove it. Send me a link saying so. "then his enforcers on the team will go after that dirty player with a fight" Really? Wouldn't make more sense to send of the player who commits cheap shots or dirt play? Instead of solving it with a "fight". That just sounds plain stupid. I played hockey myself for years. Think bout it. Once again its ONLY in NHL fighting is almost encouraged. Do you see same amount of fights when national sides play? No you don't

  • @viktorrox Fighting is allowed to the extent that you don't get suspended for it in Hockey. It is strategy and it is vital. Fighting is in Hockey to keep the star and important players safe. Each team has a set of "Enforcers" who's main job is to keep the play on the ice honest. If a star player is victim to a cheap shot or dirty play, then his enforcers on the team will go after that dirty player with a fight. Fighting also shifts momentum for a team not performing well in a game.

  • @TheFeeez21 I was just thinking that XD

  • @Switzer2136 Wrong. Fighting has always been in Hockey, and it will be for a long time.
