Annoying as the ATI's are, and if you are old enough to remember, they are not as nearly as bad as the old system Sarnia used to have pre 1997. The "Allertronics"....they were errie, wonky, and very unpredictable, they'd go off at random in the middle of the night, or sometimes not at all. They still stand on poles in a few parks around the city, (Notabely Norm Parry Park) but have not been sounded since 1997, according to the city,

Sad thing is: many places in southern Ontario do NOT have a tornado warning system of any sort, period.

ati's re annoying , they sound like sensors for a TV Show , i truthfully would prefer a 2001'SRN over that .

I heard them from my house on Treewood cres. Had No idea what was going on because it wasn't 12:30 pm...or a Monday.
They tell you to tune into the radio for info. But the radio doesn't say anything about it for over half an hour
