Jeffrey Lindsey, Head of BlackRock's Fundamental Large Cap Growth Equity Team, is not so worried about concerns on Steve Jobs health even though BlackRock is one of the biggest holders of Apple's stock. He considers sales of new products and momentum of the company in the future as more important factors in valuing the stock than the succession planning at Apple. According to him, BlackRock is comfortable with the successor Tim Cook and this does not impact their holding in Apple which is a cheap stock. He says the total of social networking companies IPOs is going to be overvalued because everyone wants to own the one that becomes the next Google.
