SSC Ultimate Aero vs Henessey venom GT from record run and speedo cam from HpeDesign
SSC is faster in sub 300kmh. But then the venom starts to catch up the SSC. Both topped out at 350kmh at the same time. If both went all the way to 400kmh, the venom might be considerably ahead.

  • you misunderstand me. I never disputed the validity of their runs. I only suggested that SSC dispute the ageras record claim as the fastest 0-300, 0-200mph because evidence shows that their UA is faster.

  • and its about time the Ksegg broke the Veyron SS's record. They have been yapping about it since the original veyron with their CCX, and the UA with their CCXR for almost 5 years already. Ksegg always gives excuses about not enough room, and such, but the UA broke 253mph on a 2 mile highway. Dont tell me they cant find one. And they could always go to nardo, where the CCR broke 241mph. They claim 245mph ccr on straight. if the agera can do 273, 267 is no problem on a ring.

  • how much evidence do you need to believe the tuatara will be a reality? Mclaren started "leaking" the p11 as early as 2005-2006 , it was only 2011 that the mp4 12c ws launched . And it was. News for the ultimate aero II was in 2009 after the 2009 final UA was rolled out. Production is slated to commence by 2012. And unlike the agera, the tuatara wasnt even 1% like the aero. It was a completely new redevelopment.

  • over the veyron SS (14.55 vs 14.6s 0-300kmh) . Their quarter mile times are conservative estimates and not actual test results. Even when OfficialKC and I suggested that SSC dispute Koenigsegg's record, they admitted that they would like the Agera to keep theirs for "the time being". However, SSC has said that they would test the Tuatara rigourously and publish all records set so that "Our fans can make accurate comparisons with the competition".

You'd certainly think it would be about time. They've been making their absurd claims for a few years now and so far all we've seen is a tuned Lamborghini replicar with a death defying old man breaking the top speed record. If Koenigsegg had a old man with nothing to live for they too could've trumped the Veyron.

  • and ssc never made many claims. They have virtually no performance claims at all except for the 1/4, 0-100kmh and their record. And if you can say that fuzzy gague is untrue, then I can also say koenigsegg pasted a doctored GPS overlay ontop a video of their regular run for some PR. The video originated from them, their "record" also originated from them. And I do not see their records published in the 2012 Guiness Book of records either.

  • Why is every video or cockpit photo showing the rpm gauge redline at 6750, when Venom specs according to their own homepage say it is 7200!?!! confusing

  • @ASSHOLELA "Unlike Koenigsegg which trumpets out even the smallest of improvements" says it all really. I've seen you trying to dispute their official video taped and uncut record whilst have no problem what so ever accepting wild unverified almost laughable claims by looking at fuzzy footage of gauges.

It's a cheap PR trick but apparently one that works like a charm on people like you. They throw you a small bone you neither can verify or deny and then watch their obsessed fans bite down...

  • the ballpark figure for 0-200mph is likely 15.xs (15.8-15.1s) no matter it was geared for a UA or tuatara.

And SSC has forwarded it to me themselves that their sole goal when attempting that run is topspeed. They never paid attention to any acceleration figures as it would take additional paperwork and verifications; any record thus made is a coincidence. And SSC are modest in terms of their claims. Unlike Koenigsegg which trumpets out even the smallest of improvements

  • @interista7878

0-200mph is negligibly variable with regard to gear ratios.(unless they happen to be horribly set up) I could agree with you if you said that the 0-100kmh 2.5s to 3.0s because of a wrong ratio, but from 0-200mph, there are 6 gears If you make one gear longer, you make the other shorter, and vice versa. Between the RPM ranges per gear, almost every time, its near its peak torque rating.
