6 o'clock in the morn
can't avoid the temptation to get a vibe to this beat
I am not weak, I will gain strength as soon as I wake
but I do not sleep, so the melody does not escape my
ears if only for the family's sake
I should slumber, but the hunger's deep
I could not pass up the chance to decipher what's underneath
To cypher what's overreached to lock it in a box
with your hopes and dreams along with other precious articles
Sub atomic particles preparing for a Great Heist
Daring to launch themselves to new heights
Baring the collective form of a Geist
in the guise of familiar faces known only in far off places
Found hidden in artwork and between history book pages
but never in the actual line
If I cosigned my name parallel to a dotted line, I'd remain
unsigned, undefined, unnoticed
I would be stuck running laps around the Hanged Man
on display for the world to see in the center of the arena
hosting the chariot races...the lariat fastened around my
neck won't loosen up until I acknowledge that I am also the
bloodthirsty crowd who will have my head if their
favorite driver comes in second place...Only problem is
the show is really just one man pacing, ever so patient
Spare it no thought or give it no thought at all but I'm
never to waste it, I can almost taste it
the divine thunder rising from the underground
electric currents generated at the base of my feet
in secret passages, possessing an actual magnetic field
originating from where the tires and the train tracks meet
My walls are lined with thumbtacks and timeline strings
Picking apart roses in a public park, because I know my place in it all

I am the black, I am the white, I am the racist
The only difference is that I'm ignorance and I'm willing to face it.
I'm willing to rise and I'm willing to fall, I'm willing to chase it

  • so I plan to change it and start a new YT account.

  • @Speedy15401 Just haven't been feeling too well lately man...lotta pain...no logical sleep patterns....not to mention that the mic I was gonna use to record something worked one day then wouldn't pick up anything the next....probably won't be till I get down to florida before I'll record anything...which should be a week or so...then I have to find to time there....gonna be busy at first...but if I can I'll get something recorded before I actually start...I don't exactly like AA as a moniker so

  • I'll listen. Do it for me if nobody else. haha. You should look into allergy shots. My sinuses used to make me just hate life in general but now they're 100% under control and have been all winter. Good luck with the recording whatnots. I'll keep an ear out for ya.

  • yeah man, I have times when I kind of disconnect from everything else...I've been a bit out of practice...winter tends to be harsh on my sinuses...plus a lot of shit going on had me on a bit of writers block...i've got a few pieces that I want to get recorded...I'm going to school soon for recording arts...once I get in the studio I plan to release an RJD2 mixtape to hold everyone over till I start producing my own stuff...maybe tonight, but it won't be best quality...as long as ya listen, isgood

  • It's all good. I was hoping nothing happened to you or anything. haha. You got more stuff coming soon?

  • so yeah Aesop has influenced me in many ways, but not entirely in my overall style...some of my earliest pieces would be thought of as like his...but I had only ever heard 3 of his songs for the longest time before i started listening to him. sorry it took so long to get back to you...no access to internet there for a while

  • @Speedy15401 much love on the comment....I have to say that when I discovered Aesop I realized that he was another like me...meaning I identified with him and his music a lot...but I also started to realize that although I love his style and understand most of what he's saying...most ppl don't...So I've never dumbed it down, but I have made changes in simplicity.

i suppose the trick is making songs for everybody(for different ppl), but never selling out....

  • I can tell you're influenced by Aesop Rock. I don't even need to ask. You're different though. That's a good thing. Keep doing what you do man.
