@nake89 you're very closed minded when it comes to thinking that you can change your diet so that these animals don't have to suffer the way that they do, for something that they don't deserve.

@nake89 I was responding to what you were saying that it's impossible to consume vitamin b12 without animal products, so now we can both agree that was wrong. Yes there are no vegan foods that are common that are a HUGE b12 source but we are able nowadays to produce b12 easily through fortified vegan foods.
I'm perfectly aware that I won't be able to convince you, because you simply aren't bothered by the fact that something you eat on a regular basis leads to the deaths of thousands of animals

@esquimalt1 Soy milk is fortified with b12. It is not a natural source. It is put there by humans because vegans don't have good natural source. If there was no shops to buy vegan food fortified with vitamin b12, vegans would not have vitamin b12 deficiency. It is not easy to come by in nature without meat.
"... And this could help out that starving person A LOT more."
On this point, I agree. But I'm sorry but you wont convince me to stop eating meat. I don't feel morally obligated to do so.

@nake89 calories of food out. This is very inefficient, and if you think about it, if you go to the grain directly to feed people, an astonishing more amount of food could be produced for us. And this could help out that starving person A LOT more.
And instead of asking me your questions from ignorance, why don't you do a google search of "vegan sources of b12" The very soy milk that I drink has 50% of daily b12 per glass.

@nake89 Omfg, you said that before and it's wrong. CAN doesn't mean MEANT to, you give a piece of ham to a chicken, it'll probably peck at it. Doesn't mean shit all. We can eat SHIT, does that mean we feed off waste?
Because it's unethical, unhealthy, negatively impacts the environment, and as a matter of fact is a problem with world food hunger. SOOOOO much land is used up for animal farming, and tons and tons of grain have to feed these animals. It's about a 20 calorie put in, to get 1

@esquimalt1 We are omnivores because we can and do eat meat, you imbecile.
Again, why would I stop eating meat? Also, do you think a poor, starving person in a developing country should not eat meat? Would you deny a starving person food? Also, where do vegans get vitamin b12? There is no other natural source other than animal products. So how do vegans get vitamin b12?
-
@nake89 And many deer and antelope species, hippos, wild boar, warthogs (and other pig species), giant panda, red panda, many primates such as gorillas, lemurs are herbivores with canines. So that debunks your we have canines so we're omnivores argument from before.
-
@nake89 @nake89 Chimpanzee for the most part do not eat other animals, and remotely close the meat consumption in humans. And when they do, it's based on their natural instinct so it's impossible to say that they're immoral. Lay a human baby next to a carrot and lets say a bunny rabbit. The babies instinct would obviously be to go eat the carrot. A natural omnivore would be to eat either, not just one.
Vegan foods that are most cereals, mock meats, soy milk and others. Look it up.

@esquimalt1 Yeah, it's true some animals are better in some things than other. I simply don't value all animals equally. Do you think the chimpanzee is commiting an immoral act when he eats other animals? No. There's your answer. Me eating meat is not wrong. And you still haven't shown a reason for NOT eating them. I find your moral reason unappealing and crude generalization and depending on what meat you eat, meat can be a very healthy source of B12 vitamin. Where do vegans get vitamin b12?
-
@nake89 And how do those things make us better than them? We have intelligence, cheetahs have speed, tigers have strength and could tear us apart. There are many animals that can do things better than we can. How does an ability make it more valuable to kill it or not?
Is it more okay to kill someone who's mentally retarded, rather than a scientist? You're claiming that we are superior in value because of our trait of intelligence and therefore have the right to kill everything else.
Guns shot in my head? Made me lol.
