NEVER did Iranians in Tehran were Hijab since when I was young in the 60's. So this is false what you are saying. Hijab is fine if your choice. But no woman should be forced to wear anything that she does believe in. If I am not muslim why must I wear such a thing? It mocks your faith, and it mocks mine.

u guys r sooo funny, i just got back from iran like this week, its not as bad as you all think... u get used to wearing the scarf and its not that strict, u would be surprised to see how the girls go out in the streets, its a barely there scarf and super tight overalls, and at the same time if you choose to be islamic your free to wear a hijab properly and a chador(a long cloth that covers the whole body from the head to the ankles)...
