@ihavemychoices - you're mixing apples and oranges. I said the death penalty does not go against what Christians believe and is not muder because it was handed down by God to Moses. Man's "justice" on earth may not be perfect and sometimes the innocent may die but that is a human failing that God will deal with. Revisit the issue and my answer and stop using the liberal tactic of mixing apples and oranges.

@Frawddawg Actually, you are sort of wrong. In the case of an INNOCENT man who is handed the death sentence, but is then later found innocent (as has happened multiple times before) or is never legally found innocent but IS, you have just unlawfully taken a life. The record of executions in Texas is horrible and disgusting - extremist and totally against the beliefs of redemption and forgiveness.

Clapping to the concept of killing citizens legally despite an unnerving amount of innocent people convicted in Texas. Legalized murder of a fully grown living human being but emergency abortion is totally wrong...And I'm a "Christian" it's time to start calling the Christian right and evangelicals satanists. Christians forgive people and try to make amends - You bomb, steal from us, lie to us, murder and execute Citizens to clap about it later. Satan would do this not Jesus don't mislabel two.

the people clapping..jesus christ

Here is your ULTIMATE JUSTICE SENATOR Perry.....You sound a ULTIMATE DUMBASS

@FrostSalonica Yes thats true, its terrible if an innocent man is sent to jail but the difference is that you dont kill that man and he can always keep on living. shouldt the state be a rolemodel, i dont know how you cant see the hypocrisy with death penalty. You dont put down a fire with more fire. Who would be tried for murder if an innocent man would be sentenced, would you like to give the state who laid down the sentence a death sentence then? an eye for an eye...

No, the death penalty does not go against what Christians believe and the death penalty is not murder. Murder is defined as the unlawful taking of a human life, and the death penalty was in the Law given to Moses by God. The death penalty is also provided for in our Constitution in that there is a reference to it in the 5th amendment on how to deal with suspects in a "capital" case and suffering the loss of life upon indictment and conviction.

@elakagubben1 Yeah but saying that, you simply say that you dont trust justice. What if an inocent man gets life in jail? Isnt THAT unfair? Death penalty sounds pretty fair to me when a man deservs it.. And i dont care about Christianity or any other religion.. Murder the murderers.. Nobody asked THEIR victims if they wanted to keep livin..

DEATH PENALTY= MURDER

And I thought he was a VERY religious person?
The hypocrisy is strong with this one...
I wish there was a Hell for this kind of people. I really, really do.
Sadly, it is very unlikely such place exists :(
Now call me crazy. But don't executions go completely and utterly against what Christians are supposed to stand for?

hmm, republicans supports death penalty but not murder. I dont see the difference between those two. What if the state executes a innocent man, who will then be tried for murder? Death penalty is the biggest hypocrisy in the world. Death Penalty = murder
