bernard is one of the reasons i play bass...it started in the 70s when my mom had me in dance class...i remember recitals and things with chic in them and i got it stuck in my head so much...i used to try and pick out bass lines on her guitar...when i finally got to play bass it was such a relief for me..i still listen to his stuff all the time..
It's interesting to see Robert Palmer in the midst of his creative process. Fun, too, to see how they all worked together. It was an obviously happy collaboration that serendipity brought together to produce a great album. By the way, no one could play the drums (or wear a beret) quite like Tony Thompson. All these guys were very talented and each of them brought something unique to the sound. Thanks so much for making this available, I appreciate it!
one of the many reasons i absolutely LOVE youtube! you can't find this stuff anywhere else. i hope everyone else can work through all the greedy copyright BS, so the world can share in the making of great music and the music itself.
