@law53ut No Problem. I forgive you. I think that Jesus would have no problem calling a Liar a Liar, I don't think that he was much of a respecter of persons. His love for us is great enough to tell us the truth. He said, "I AM the truth". He could not stand the religious flesh works of man as seen in many of the pharisees, scribes and saducees that he confronted. He came establish a new law and called it finished at the cross...that you love one another as I have loved you. He gave it all.
@HoffDesign First of all, let me apologize for using the term liar as I do not know you personally and also as I realize that would not be what Christ would have me do. However, living this mortal existence is a path of imperfection with a continual effort to become more like Him. Thanking Him profusely every moment of every day for His love and forgiveness, for His atoning sacrifice for me. I do wish you well and hope you will accept my apology.
@law53ut Thank you for the nice compliment on your perception of my person. Christianity aligning with Mormonism has nothing to do with my personal character, but I do thank you for sharing your love, nonetheless. The ultimate goal of a Mormon is to become a God. (3rd degree of the celestial kingdom according to the LDS plan of Salvation) Flesh works must be meticulously performed to earn this high call...Christians are indwelt by Christ, now. Their salvation is completed.
@TheJaywin30 It's funny to me that you would prefer to believe that a demon came to Joseph Smith than to believe Heavenly Beings, the Father and the Son, in fact DID appear to him. Why would you want to believe the worst of things when the truth is so much more positive. I know it is true, and since you don't, I only have one question, What if it is true? You don't really know, but I do. I know it is true and I am at peace in that knowledge.
@HoffDesign YOU are a liar or you just didn't understand the faith at all. I'm was born in the church, raised and left it too, but I found years later that I was lost, I returned to the faith of Jesus Christ as it is taught in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. You need to do your research and not tell lies that we are polar opposites. Our church is formed in the same organization that existed in the primitive church, namely apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelist, etc.
The members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (yes, as we've been nicknamed, the Mormons) ARE Christians. The name of our church is His name. WE believe in Christ, we know He is our Savior, He is the Son of God, His life is our example, and we believe He lives, He was crucified and died to pay for our sins AND rose on the third day to give us a chance to live again with the Father. This is the core belief of ANY christian; to believe in Christ. WE ARE CHRISTIANS!! Hello!!!!
Ouch...Joel Please research Mormonism, before you assume its alignment with Christianity. I was LDS for 32 years, and left it to become a born again Christian according to the Bible. Mormonism and Christianity are polar opposites. please visit my site luv1another com "New Life in Christ", here you will find informative comparison.
Coward, coward, coward! He always says, "What I believe", not, "God says".
