  • why it takes so long for you to pass 08 Impala SS ???? I would of left him from the word go....

  • @BrewtonBusa He was bone stock at the time. He let me get the hit, and hit rev limiter.

  • dang 14s in your impala ss. my 2005 grand prix GXP same ls4 engines ran 13.6@102 stock

  • @atekido I've ran 13.5 @ 103 since. 13.6 is pretty much the quickest claimed stock time for the LS4 cars. Great DA and a good launch anyhting can happen.

My 14 second times were in 3000+ DA in Texas heat.

  • @atekido sorry bro not buying it! show me or i call foul.

  • @BLACKLACDTS Several people have hit the time. A well prepped track and good air is pretty much the combo. I've moved on to a Trailblazer SS.

  • They should use the GT chassis for the impala so it can be rear wheel drive instead of front wheel drive.

Take it back to 1996 days!!!!

  • Yeah that manual mode sucks in these cars

  • @antchevy the 2012 chevy caprice ppv :)

  • I'm going to blow your minds. Being a gm tech for a few years and I own the impala SS, iv looked into the g8. The body/substructures and cradles are the same. The rear cradle will drop out and g8 can bolt in with mild modification. The front frame mounting is the same but cradles are different (obviously due to transverse power plant). If you happen to have a g8 laying around, it would be a hell of a mod to swap. Plus the 6.0 is. Bit more versatile than the ls4 5.3. Rack your brains around that!

  • @08turboSS These engines are not "truck motors". The LS4 has the same displacement as the Vortec 5300 LY5, it features an aluminium block instead of iron, and it uses the same cylinder heads as the Generation III LS6 engine. This engine is adapted for transverse front-wheel drive applications. The crankshaft is shortened 13 mm to reduce the length of the engine. The L76 (G8 GT engine) was Holden's Generation IV based engine and makes 361 HP. Neither of these engines were ever used in trucks.

  • @CenTexSS .... The V8's in the Impala ss ARE TRUCK MOTORS , NOT ls4'S AND SAME GOES FOR THE ENGINE IN THE g8 gt, JUST A l SERIES TRUCK MOTOR

  • @CenTexSS yea i was just bustin your chops. lol i have a awd tbss with cai and a 3200 stall and its been low 13s at full weight on the stock 20s. it wasnt even tuned i am between tunes rite now because my old tune was pingin to much.

  • Nice video. I have a quick video of me racing an impala SS. Pretty unfair tho.

  • @atekido look man you can say what you want but im not buyin it. my best friend has a 06 impala ss and his best time is low 14s. i have a trailblazer ss that runs 13.70s and i beat every impala ss ls4 i have ran buy a few cars too. whats the launch technic?
