Alright My Boodies ,

Got some guitar care product for you today , from the awesome people over at Gorgomytye ,

http://www.gorgomyte.com/index.html

no matter whether it's Peter Frampton, Dave Mustaine, Tommy Shaw or
any of the other Super Star artists listed above, they all have one thing in
common. Their instruments HAVE to be in top playing form. At this level
of the game there are no excuses for anything less than perfection. This is
why they all choose Gorgomyte to condition their fingerboards and polish
their frets. Join the rapidly growing list of artists and techs around the
globe who have discovered the wonders of JJ's Gorgomyte and thrown
away their steel wool. Just like them, You'll never turn back.

The frets and fingerboard of your guitar get more hands on use, and often
abuse, than any other area of the instrument. The fine wood gets gummed
up with finger oils and dirt. The frets collect these impurities too, making
them dull and less than smooth. Why then is this the one area we tend to
neglect when it's clean up time? The reason is that it has always been a
messy, delicate and time consuming job. Getting the wood back to it's
original luster and the frets shining meant using potentially damaging and
abrasive products like steel wool. Turn an hour long task into just a few
minutes and get results you never thought possible with Gorgomyte. You WILL be amazed

  • Is it only available from Gorgomyte or Floyd upgrades? or are there some uk sellers?

  • @col33145 no clue....maybe the cloth is something like Nevr Dull....T cut- didnt think of that....

  • @dmedicFF some sort of cutting stuff ,t cut maybe ? what gives the frets the awesome shine

  • @col33145 I'm trying to figure out how to make it myself!!!! Flannel cloth, coconut, Vaseline maybe.....

  • @dmedicFF Nice one mate .. tell you what its one of the best products i have demoed this year awesome stuff i love it ,,

  • @HudCouto sorry for the late comment- but I use the stuff and it is really fantastic. I find that if you consistently wipe the strings and fingerboard down after each playing session, the effect of the Gorgomyte lasts much longer. My experience is- every 3rd string change or so, I re-Gorgomyte it. Incidentally, this stuff comes from way back, marketed as "Miracle Cloth" back in the sixties and still today. The main ingredient is Coconut Oil.

  • @HudCouto well mine is still shiny mate, you get a really nice slick feeling that lastts for a good few days but the shine it still there ,i did it a few weeks ago , the good thing is that all you need to do it slacken off the strings and you can do it again really easy , but i would say a good few weeks mine lasted for plus its so much quicker to do ,

  • so how long does the shine actually last? I mean, whenever I polish my frets with steel woolor brasso they look mirror-like, but they star going back to dull with a couple hours of playing... does this stuff make the shine last longer?
