Michael Jackson no Brasil - Reportagem do Fantástico (1996)

From Salvador, Michael Jackson came so fast to Rio de Janeiro. Without any relaxation.
During the night, He appeared many times in the hotel´s window with some kids and said 'hello' to fans.
To the fans whom stayed in there, had saw Copacabana like this. With a rainbow too.
In the end of the morning, Michael hurried out of hotel and go to Copacabana´s fort that is front of the hotel. His staff do not lose time: Michael gets out of car and scenes starts recording, they are parts of the video, but this soldiers know it?
One scene more. Michael gets out running. Behind him, the soldiers, it´s like a persecution.
Now, a helicopter´s flight, but without job. It´s a tourist´s tour. Know Rio de Janeiro flying in the sky, was an old dream of Michel Jackson and he was lucky. The Sunday´s morning was gorgeous. Was that images that he saw in the sky: 'a Rio that he never will forget', he told.
The tour was short, he got more job. Was the time to record in the place that caused much controversy: the Dona Marta Favela in the south zone of Rio, one the biggest in the city. Today the favela stoped. Everyone wanted see the star.
Michael arrived in a helicopter and then disappeared.
Is not easy for us follow the recording of the video here in the Dona Marta´s Favela. We´re getting this because Bob Jhones (he´s the responsible for the working life of Michael) has authorized us. Bob went down there, in the "favela´s foot", to search our staff to film all that, Michael Jackson recording the video clip.
Although all this marathon, Michael Jackson gets up the favela in a good way. In the hands, only a towel to clean the face. Was more of 15 minutes walking until arrive in the house that served like a dressing-room. In the back yard of the house, was many hours until get the finals details of the record. The director, Spike Lee, was commanding an army of more 300 people, between technicians, camera mans, assistants and life guards.
Time to record. The life guards go search Michael Jackson. Considered a hard person, exigent, super problematic, he show us a simple, nice and patient.
Yeah, but the star is a perfectionist person, and until a stain on his pants, but it don´t disappears. That´s okay.
While wait, Michael is training the muscles. Is the time so expected: starts the record. This rhythm present on the video is of Olodum, also in the t-shirt. And Michael Jackson show us why make many success: because he´s a super star.
This images are exclusives of Globo Tv. In the local of the record, the only camera for reports was from a tv show of the U.S.

Of course Michael Jackson doesn´t gives interviews, because he have to maintain the appearance of a myth, but we asked, and asked to him, and he accepted say some words to Brazilian people.

Looking the archive of my grandmother, I found the journalistic field that was transmited in the tv program "Fantástico" on Globo Tv of Brazil in 1996, during the records of Michael Jackson´s video "They Don´t Care About Us". This is my way to honor this big artist!

Buscando los archivos de mi abuela, encontré la materia de noticiero que trató de los "Behind Scenes" del video de Michael Jackson "They Don't Care About Us" que fue transmitida en el programa "Fantástico" de Tv Globo de Brasil en 1996. Este video musical fue grabado en la montaña Doña Marta en Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Esta fue la manera más singela de dar una pequeña homenage a este gran artista.

dizem que os sentimentos verdadeiros tem um bom significado, eu sempre gostei muito da pessoa , do artista Michael Jackson. posso estar errada quanto ao carater dele, mas sempre o admirei, suas musicas nunca me deixaram tristes, pelo contrario, somente boas lembrancas. Acredito que ele esta num lugar de luz e paz, a paz tao desejada,,e acredito que ele fez muito mais coisas boas, deixou muito mais alegria ....do que qualquer coisa contraria que alguem tenha a dizer.......
