Muy pausada la entrada de las cuerdas, en la version del MET 1991 con Marylin Horne la entrada de las cuerdas es mas ralentada y rápida. Los fortes no suenan tan mal en el tutti aunque el solo de oboe va algo ascelerado.

Rockwell Blake is the big star here. He is amazing in the two arias, bringing the house down with applause (bravissimo).
Gasdia is better then I was expecting, but not a very convincing Semiramide.
Dupuy is good in the first aria, but not so good on the second.
Pertusi is a good Assur

How nice to finally see this performance complete, and with all cuts opened. Incredible nearly 4 hours of music. I don't understand the production however. All in blue with snatches of pink, and what's with people carrying the long poles? The singing from all is spectacular. Gasdia is good here, as is the wonderful Blake. Dupuy too, though the costume makes her look like a woman. No expense was spared it seems. Thanks for this performance- Ernesto
