Eileen is a good friend and she is still a DAMN fine fiddler and an amazing musician (and person). She simply has more interests and influences than just Irish trad, especially in terms of performance. She can still play trad with the best of them in sessions. She is diverse enough that she can do either, and that separates her from a good deal of the players out there.
Rickupinoft...that's pretty much what I thought as well! Of course, she can still play like that BUT, how "often does that happen nowadays" is the tricky question.
