This is a reading of a poem I wrote for my university's Arabic speech contest, in which I placed first. The poem is about my experiences in the Sahara Desert over the course of several summers from 2006-2008. Thank you for the compliments. Yes, it's me reading the poem, though I would caution you that I was only a second-semester Arabic student at the time and I'm not completely pleased with my pronunciation, intonation, and inflection in this reading. I think the cadence is fine, but I would like to perhaps read the poem again.
