Motorola Droid running a ported version of Android 2.1 from the upcoming Nexus One.

The OS is still a bit buggy as it was not intended for the Motorola Droid and was just ported a few days ago. There are updates to the OS that the community has applied over the passed few days. It just keeps getting better.

The live wallpapers is a nice addition but still a bit slow for my taste. I definitely needs to be optimized to be used on the Droid.

  • Woohoo!!! for nexus one owners we already have it!!!! and is the first phone ever to have live wallpapers!!!

  • when i touch the wallpaper thing i'm coming direct to the wallpaper gallery :(

    what should i do?

  • If Android 2.2's going to be like this, only 2-5x faster, I'm all in!

  • @RevoltDynasty

    Just you!!!

  • How did you get the file to make it look like the Nexus one

  • is it just me, or was the scrolling through pages really, really laggy

  • @Wonton118 No problem broski. Its what I am running too, and it is ill. Why keep all the good shit to myself :) Launcher Pro is better than Helix because its smoother and it has the "all page" display when you click on the Home button again and thats mad sexy :)

  • @RogueKovu Thanks so much for the mention of Launcher pro! It's awesome. Best launcher i've tried out thus far.

  • @Wonton118 The update didnt come with the 3d program drawer. If you're looking for a better android home experience try Launcher Pro or Helix Launcher (in the app market) It offers up to 7 homescreens and a more attractive app drawer
