@bigcherry99 - I used to know Jason, have done since out teens, .. I remember quite a few times visiting David's studio near Heathrow.. he actually had a sound room with his double bass drum kit. Excellent!. This was when they were Salem Orchid. They eventually split up & Jason went to live in North London. & got into creating Electronic music... Which i already was doing.. Good times long gone... Then of course after both maturing, they re-formed as Akercocke.

@xoio i haven't even started telling you about david's artwork + drawing ability. david is actually one of the best artists in the UK. frighteningly talented

david won dozens of prizes for art while at school. no-one even came close to his ability. he was drawing like a decent adult artist at 9 years old

ok, here's another david gray story. david had a chopper bike when he was growing up + was the only person able to wheely down the entire length of bedfont lane. bedfont lane is about a mile long, and when david announced he was going to wheely bedfont lane after school, all the kids would ride behind him cheering him on. dozens of kids blocking traffic on their bikes. magical times. david gray made bedfont a magical place to be in the 80's which is why he is so loved + respected in west london
