GET your eyes checked. there is actually a massive difference.

it's 6 times the resolution, 10 times the capacity and 4 times the bandwidth of DVD.

not to mention how advanced the sound technology is, it surpasses sound of most films shown at the cinema, Blu-ray features 24 bit PCM (uncompressed) 7.1ch surround sound. most theatres use 16 bit sound at 5.1ch matrixed into the number of speakers in the auditorium.

Blu-ray is a massive, massive improvement.

and there is a huge difference.!!!

Sony should have popped out some SACD commercials in America. "The future of music," would have been a good tagline. Unfortunately, the majority of people today think music sounds better compressed, and the sound is fantastic through crappy earbuds and iPods. ;)

hmmm sure that may be true but either way all company's need one another to survive without a hardware company software would be pointless unless we have software hardware is never going to work vista copied osx once eh you know how many time mac has asked for windows help allot but either way they see eye to eye.

Second powe300, IT world needs both Sony as a hardware producer and MS as a software one. I agree with pdouglas84. Apple share had 30% increased last year alone! While MS flagship, Vista's were outsold by Xp...

Sony(9th) has 5% of hardware sales, Aplle(7th) had a 61% increasing in sales! while HP(1st) just around 22% when it comes to laptops. IBM(Lenovo) is the first brand for business and gov. computers. When it comes to servers, Linux are most likely to be seen. On Gov. Unix-based NOS.
