  • im reading a lot of comments about people selling your videos...thats bs man..anytime my friends get YLOD, i tell them to watch your videos on this channel...you helped me repair 4 ps3s with your videos and i appreciate that very much...if you have copyright on these vids, you might should look into legal action...or get a copyright

  • @WilfordBrimleyGaming

due to the increased amount of people selling mine an others guides whilst directing people question to me they may be no more videos released !!!!!

shame cos i have been busy these last few weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm using aggressive flux, and i know its ok to use this but does anyone one know how to clean the excess of?

  • my heatgun has 2 settings, after fluxing it, i heated it with 550 degrees celcius and managed to melt one of those chips and warped the board

I bet with my brothers that it wouldnt work anymore

Miracles as miracles happen, when i switched it on it worked! and it was played on for 5 hours straight (to see if breaks again :P), works like new :))

  • If you flux the capacitors, and you fan runs at 88mph, then can the ps3 go back in time before you had the YLOD?

  • @gilksy1 It's shame to let a few thieving sumbags ruin it for all us grateful people that you've helped to save a fortune.

Even if you don't release any more videos thanks for taking the time to make these.

  • do you do this just after you put on the termal paste on the cpu's or before?

  • @z50rbandit I had the same problem, but apparently I forgot to remove the original thermal pads. So after cleaning the melted thermal pads, I replaced them with thermal pads from Amazon, and the PS3 is still going strong. So thermal pads could be the problem.

Also, check the power supply with a multimeter (check YouTube/Google if you don't know how)

    Hope you get it working.

  • I've done this repair on two 60GB PS3's, one that had been reflowed without success before, and one that had never been reflowed. The one that had been reflowed ran about 5 minutes before YLOD again. The one that had never been reflowed lasted about 20 minutes before it YLOD again. I followed your instructions pretty much to the letter. Any hints or tips on what could be the reason it didn't work?

  • I have tried all of your advise and nothing seems to work. I was able to boot up the board once but the next time I tried to start up it just YLOD! anything else I can do now on the 80bg 2x usb board? PS, I can't find a heat gun with a temp level on it.

  • I would say so. You live in Latin America
