My Millbrae Patch story about community volunteers beautifying Marina Vista Park. All ages from elementary school kids, teens and Parks and Rec crew to nearby residents pitched in and made a difference in just three hours: 20 planted plum trees, a flower bed and playground get a noticeable facelift.
50 strangers (including City Mayor and the high school volleyball coach) spent their Saturday morning (and afternoon) working together.
In times of dire state and municipal budgets cuts - sweat equity is even more priceless.
