For me, it is quite obvious why Roland isn't featured in here. It'd be a big spoiler, since *big spoiler, don't read if you haven't finished the game yet*
Everyones reincarnates, but when you begin the game, you have no idea. I, for one, was surprised that this beginning held so much importance.

I loved this exposition scene. It made the impact of the ending of the first game that much harsher.
And I agree with anyone who says that the lil' Embryons are cuteness incarnate.
