I am using a Fuji Nevada 1.0 with Shimano disc brakes and so far it has been going smooth lately no problems with it so far And it cost about $ 600 but its worth it

Its not stupid to buy a mountain bike and never go off road! If you buy a mountain bike then you can ride ANYWHERE if you need to, dirt, pavement sand, puddles, on and off curbs. A mountain bike is the best bike to have! I don't know if I have a mountain bike but I have all terrain tires!
