Scotland's schools are facing their first strike by teachers in almost 25 years after the country's largest teaching union voted to take action over public sector pensions. Members of the EIS are expected to join a UK-wide day of action on the 30th of November. In other news: an inquest has ruled that a faulty set of points caused the train crash which killed a Glasgow pensioner; Ruth Davidson has been selected as the new leader of the Conservative Party in Scotland, and in sport, Neil Lennon says he is looking to establish if the training pitches at the club's Lennoxtown facility are contributing to his injury problems. This is an international version of the news that may have been edited for rights reasons.
