Scotland's schools are facing their first strike by teachers in almost 25 years after the country's largest teaching union voted to take action over public sector pensions. In other news: an inquest has ruled that a faulty set of points caused the train crash which killed a Glasgow pensioner; Ruth Davidson has been selected as the new leader of the Conservative Party in Scotland, and in sport, Neil Lennon says he is looking to establish if the training pitches at the club's Lennoxtown facility are contributing to his injury problems.
