I've heard conflicting reports concerning rescue remedy. Some say it's scientifically proven to work but urges say it's not. I just ordered some so hopefully it was not a waste.

@sallyanne3d The harm done is that it doesn't work for organic ailments and may lengthen the time the sufferer waits until real treatment is sought. If the patient feels better it is the placebo effect working on psychosomatic ailments - which is what panic disorders are. But the salient point is that it presents itself as a legitimate medical alternative when it has no basis in chemistry or biology, much less medical science and thus no efficacy as a treatment beyond the placebo effect.

does rescue remedy go under the tongue or on it ? because it says spray on the tongue but you said under. Also how many drops ? I'm not sure this stuff works because I spray about 3 on the tongue. I have the short of breathe and panic symptoms daily all through the day
bovery23 1 year ago
@bovery23 -- I suggest you follow the directions on your form of Rescue Remedy. For the drops, the usage is usually under the tongue. Spray forms have different directions. Hope it's helpful. It is best used for mild anxiety and situational panic, in my experience. If you're having panic symptoms frequently, please seek medical help.

Modern homeopaths have proposed that water has a memory that allows homeopathic preparations to work without any of the original substance; however, there are no scientifically plausible physical mechanisms for such a phenomenon. The lack of convincing scientific evidence supporting homeopathy's efficacy and its use of remedies lacking active ingredients have caused homeopathy to be described as pseudoscience, quackery, and a "cruel deception".

@theknightlynews -- Thank you for your comments. Homeopathy may be one of many "vibrational" forms of healing that our current scientific methods are not yet able to measure. It is certainly best to use your own discernment and judgment before trying any remedy. However, to be fair, I am unaware of any harm that has been done by such remedies.
