  • Well, I didn't hear any mistakes. It was amazing!

  • Well, I can assure you - there were definitely mistakes. Thanks, though!

  • the concerto IS technically demanding no matter who you are, especially the slow section in the third movement, otherwise you wouldn't have made some of the technical errors that you made. You did a good job with it though, so keep up the good work!

  • Thanks for the comment! I would challenge you, though, to point out where I make any terribly obvious mistakes.

  • This is excellent!

How much did you practise each day to complete this and how long did it take?

  • Thanks a lot. Glad you enjoyed it.

It's hard to give numbers for the questions you've asked, as I don't keep track of that sort of thing. I'm a pretty sporadic practicer.

  • Wow! Definitely one of the best performance I've seen of this piece. Those "glissando-like" secundal figures near the of the movement look very interesting: how are you approaching them?

  • Bravo!! we do 8:40 the same way! Thank you! Because that part was criticised on my video by a dilettant person, and I sent her to your video to see that part! I appreciate your work. Thanks!

  • Hey Philip,

It's nice to hear you perform once again. Thank you for posting such a great performance! Are you performing in Toronto in the near future?

  • Again - another one nicely done!

    I love this piece.

  • good job phil! so great to see you in youtube :)

  • ARGERICHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think what makes this concerto so bloody difficult is the "transparency" if you will of what he's doing. So often both hands are playing the exact same thing, and so often you arent playing anymore than 2 or 3 notes. So if one of them is off, you're screwed. Beyond that, the rhythm is unyielding. You do an excellent job of this concerto however.

  • I don't want to be the mean guy on youtube that puts everything down because I think you did a marvelous job. Your youthful energy just comes out a lot and some things need to be toned down a little bit so that the big parts seem even bigger...if you know what I mean.
