Final Fantasy IX Excalibur II Perfect Game Timeline (New)

These are my saves at the end of each circuit of my 2nd FFIX Excalibur II Perfect Game run. This time around there is a 20 minute or so detour to pick up 9 Promist Rings before picking up the 10th at the Desert Palace.

The first time I completed this, my time was 11:43:03. With this run being completed at 10:48:47, I have improved my run by nearly 55 minutes, but the last run did not have this detour to take. So if the Promist Ring detour didn't exist, then my time could have been somewhere in the 10h 25m range. Maybe even less......

But I had some help along the way this time around. Special thanks to camdad04 with equipment setups and strategies.

Interesting. So I take it you go from Cleyra's Trunk, all the way through Cleyra, and then fight Antlion without saving? How much time does this move save because I might try it once I get there.

@FinalFantasyDude4Eva ..just save before Antlion, since that battle relies on Sandstorm to put Quina at 1 HP (10% chance)...Also since getting through that one whirlpool on one try each time may be too muck luck to rely on. I saved about 30 seconds this way...

-On Disc 3, Treno/Knights house, your 1 hour 12 minutes ahead! I take it your pro at Athlete Queen or something?

And of course by the Excalibur II, your have well over 1 hour to spare, that's really impressive man, well done. I'm up to Chocobos forest on disc 1 and I'm only 3 minutes ahead. But my runs are near-perfect mostly, so any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hey man cool vid. This will be very useful in helping me understand what I need to aim for. Of course, I don't think I will need to save THAT much time, but still. From what I can gather here, the major turning points are:

-Dali/Storage Area, in which you go 4 minutes ahead.

-Eunorus Plains, in which you go 24 minutes ahead, how did you do that!

-Fossil Roo/Cavern you go 30 minutes ahead, I take it you did well on Disc 2 then?

@FinalFantasyDude4Eva ...Disc 2 went much better for me this time around, I still made some mistakes later on, but nothing major. As for time savings, I completed circuits 2.4 and 2.5 without saving (a camdad04 inspired move - but you gotta be lucky to pull it off!)
