  • I never really liked Barbara Frittoli before I watched this video and Now i really like her- Fiordiligi is really for her!

  • They are both kind of hot right?

But I don't understand all the arm crap...all the pointing and all the posing like if they were mannequins..

I need to become an opera director...

  • I've always liked Angelika Kirschlager too

I actually like the direction of the singers- with all the arm movement it adds a lot things that you cant convey with a voice

  • It's arm movements...and they've been doing it the entire opera up now...it adds nothing what does it add? How at all does it add to the characters or the emotions they are feeling?

  • One of the best staged renditions of this aria! She keeps it in the realm of innocence - instead of raging with anger and astonishment. She is light-hearted and at the same time, strongly stating her feelings.....not to mention Frittoli's voice fits perfectly. Thanks for posting!~

  • perfetta!!!

  • Una delle migliori Fiordiligi mai ascoltate in assoluto. Grandissima.

  • This was when Frittoli still had a beautiful sound. She should have keep her Mozart roles a staple LONGER. The Verdi were always pushed (Alice Ford and Desdemona were fine, but they are on the lyric side).

I hate all the superfulous hand crap. But I have this on DVD and think the acting at times is very good (the recits are very natural).

  • Do you know who was the stage director?

Try Patrice Chéreau' s "Così fan tutte" with Daniel Harding! It's phantastic!
