I shot this today in downtown Raleigh, NC below the Boylan Bridge. The weather was just the right mixture of clouds, wind, and sun while I shot these 243 photos.

I shot this with a Canon T2i running Magic Lantern for the time lapse .

Music: "Paris, Texas" by Ry Cooder.

  • I guess you've been watching Breaking Bad :D Good job

  • @Khimil never seen it, what's the correlation?

  • what time settings were used?

  • @GanEdenVideo I honestly don't remember, I'm sorry. It has been a while and it was my first attempt with time lapse on my T2i. I didn't get it exactly right either but it worked out. I've learned that it all depends on what you are trying to capture and that using filters or turning your f-stop to like 20 or something and then dragging your shutter to a slower speed definitely helps. It keeps things from being so rigid and really helps add motion blur that you would see when shooting video.

  • @GanEdenVideo wish I could be of more help

  • what does the magic latern even do? im confused on that :/

  • @LongshotGaming Magic Lantern is software that is added to the camera. It has a lot of functions but specifically for this video I used the intervalometer feature to shoot time lapse photos without the need of additional hardware or controls. Then I just dropped all the photos into the timeline in Sony Vegas and rendered it out as video. Hope that helps. Just google Magic Lantern Firmware for more info.

  • @zstamey84 The scenery, colouring and even the soundscape reminded me of the time lapses often shown in the series. I thought it might have been an inspiration. I couldn't find any decent example clips.

    Nice one anyway!

  • @zstamey84 why didn't you just shoot a video instead of making pictureS?

  • wow that is cool!

  • I encounter a problem, if I shot many pictures in a time of 4 hours for example would I would last the battery charge? if I change the battery could move the camera ...

  • a question, how much did you give him time interval between shots? thanks
