In this video you will see how a simple fountain firework is made. A very simple project with instant reward, no need to wait for anything to dry.

A little video put together while waiting for my BP to come out of the mill. Don't worry my senior subscribers, there are videos coming of fireworks with a lot more meat on them...

Don't forget to subscribe if you want to see more.

Some info for my regular viewers:
I am working out a sponsorship from www.pyrodirect.com. The sponsorship will be for materials in exchange for publicity. I would not agree to those terms if I did not believe that they did not have something of value to offer my viewers and friends. They carry a large amount of building supplies for shells and rockets, as well as some great novelty items for prices that are very inexpensive. No minimum order is also a big bonus for those of you that only want a roll of fuse or a box of hemis and don't want to have to fill a $30 order.

They also have a selection of HDPE mortars and racks all the way up to 12" for very reasonable prices.

Check them out. The prices really are great. I'll post videos of their products when I can.

Just an update of what's going on. It should mean quite a few more videos in the future.

  • i buy sulfur at lowes and it is little lumps or chunks of sulfur and weird brown stuff and is acidic gow do i deacidify it and what is the brown stuff? i need help!!!???!!!

  • @12414666 I'm not sure what that is. I would not use it. Buy good sulfur online if you can't find it locally.

  • I want to add some bright spherical Al (325#) for bright sparks but then i can't ram it anymore?

  • @redbullstef Well here's the thing. Many people ram spherical aluminum. It does increase the danger though, so there's just no way I'm going to recommend it to my viewers. Bottom line, the safest way is to use a press.

  • I made a few test fountains and I am not getting very many sparks or much velocity. I am using a 13/64th nozel hole, and the same exact ratio you used in the video... 26 charcoal ( 80 mesh ) 60 KNO3, and 14 sulfur. I have been ramming in about 8 stages for a 3/4" x 3.5" tube. Any suggestions on how to improve my results? Thanks in advance, I appreciate it.

  • @way2hi4me Are you measuring by weight or by volume? Try changing up the ratio. Use less sulfur and more nitrate and that will give a faster burn.

  • @vietnamisalv use a star composition instead of blackpowder. they burn with colors and im pretty sure it'll work of you leave it as a powder. just dont ram metals, they could spark

  • I'd love to see the plug making in 3d, the dowel is so close to the camera.
