  • I am going to replace the motor on a 2001 Windstar. There is a BIG warning in the instructions to make sure to secure the sector gear before removing the motor or "serious injury can result". Can you elaborate???

  • the gear is spring loaded!!!! if you remove the motor without securing the arm of the regulator, it is like a bear trap and will take your fingers off!!! i use two vice grips to clamp the arm down and then remove the spring before removing the motor.

  • My regulator motor hanged while the window is up and I can't access these two polts release the glass from the regulator and I cant force it down with hand.... What can I do, car is Nubira 2

  • you have to cut the cables to the regulator on both sides to release the stress of the glass sill. if this does not work, you can drill 2 access holes in the upper part of the door panel to access the screws, has to be done sometimes.

  • HI,, i HAVE A BUICK CENTURY 1998 AND THE GLASSES DOESN'T RAISE OR DOWN SO WHEN I PUSH THE BUTTON FOR MY WINDOW, I HEAR A BIZZZ BUT NOTHING WORK SO IF I OPEN MY DOORS, i CAN RAISE OR DOWN MY WINDOWS!!, NEED TO KNOW REPLACE OR REPARE,. excuse my english.

  • in the 98 buicks, you may still have the ribbon type regulator, these are almost obsolete, or you may have the cable driven regulator, either way you will want to replace the regulator.

  • is it possible to change the gear in the window motor?

  • My problem on my sister's 04 saturn is either switch will not operate the passenger widow. Can it be that it's the driver's side switch that's the problem.

  • Is there one fuse for each window or one for all ?

  • Sounds like it is the master switch. Yours should be located on the center console if i am correct.

  • could be from the window seals drying out and grabbing the glass, or it just may be a poor design in the regulator, it does happen.
