Now Bill... if ANY of us have our lunch eaten, that was the man you wanted doin' the eating!! The thing that is hard to believe is that he was a better man than a steel player... I think that's 'nuff said...
... also, thanks so much for all of your recordings thru the years... Bill, you've done more to archive the great players of our day than anyone else... again... thank you!

Bill, I don't think John, followed your advise of "taking it easy on you", but your a terriffic player too. I'll be honest, Bill, you jumped the beat a little, but you have a great style and good sense of all this stuff. I'm being a little tough on you with this, but playing with a "monster" like John Hughy, I'd be a little rattled too, but you still did a good job. Marc Trainor (another pedal steel player).

I always think of John as being more of a balladeer, he really took that one outside though!
