Goal initially was to create a Transworld style 16mm montage, and to try and replicate the film look as much as possible. didn't really end up like that, but I'm pretty happy with the results.

Shot:
50i
HC1e
1920x1080

Post:
AE
PP
MBL
First experiments with AE/PP Timewarp plugin to emulate 120fps. Pretty good results, worked better on shots that I had done at 10000 shutter speed to reduce blur.

Encoding:
H264
6-8mbps VBR 2 Pass
AAC Audio 160kbps
Progressive
25fps
1280x720

Music:
Squadra_Omega
Tenebroso

Skating:

  • holy fuck i thought i knew who you were! thats me at 1:15 with the white shoes. you got some great editing skill in fact i was probably there the whole time you filmed this.

  • ahah! brilliant. Yeah ,we randomly filmed it one afternoon in the summer. We were the old guys with zimmer frames moaning about how things were better during the war.

  • hahahaha xD yeah i remember ya now! but you really do have some great editing skills. i had After effects and Sony vegas and im getting no were near this kind of editing

  • Thanks! All of this was done in Premiere Pro and a tiny bit in After Effects. Veags is just as good as PP im sure. Keep filming and editing, and watch videos to see how its done.

  • hmm cant say iv heard of premiere pro, but from this it looks like it gots better effects than vegas, im really quite limited with the effects i can use i got about ..7? somthing like that, does prem pro have more?

  • None of this video uses any 'effects' as such , the film burn stuff is stock footage from Artbeats, and the colour correction is done using the Lift Gamma Gain. Im sure Veags will have something similar.

If you watch pro skate videos, they rarely use effects or crazy transitions . Most of what makes a good video is down to the quality of the filming.
