@ZaeViola Yes, you're quite right. The Catwoman in the Batman comics was Selina Kyle. But Halle Berry is playing a character named Patience Phillips who is a totally different character and has nothing to do with the Batman storyline.

@TowelTroi Sorry, but it's all about who Catwoman is behind the mask as much as the mask itself. The Catwoman character has always been Selina Kyle, a professional cat-burglar based on 40's film actress Heddy Lamar. The Catwoman Halle Berry played was Patience Phillips, a completely different character that has nothing to do with Batman. Julie Newmar first played Selina Kyle in first 2 seasons of the TV series. Eartha Kitt played a different Catwoman in season 3 after Selina went to prison.

although i love halle berry in that catwoman outfit. Damnnn.. but i must agree the performance michelle pfeiffer gave as a catwoman was amazing and outsanding, hands down. even I was drooling

H.Berry is beautiful and hot but still she was awful as Catwoman. Michelle Pfeiffer was over any competition - amazing acting, look, everything plus Berry was awful in fight scenes. Jennifer Garner (in Elektra), Milla Jovovich (in Ultraviolet) and Charlize Theron (in Aeon Flux) were much more impressive

@ZaeViola How ignorant of a statement. Years before Michelle was even Catwoman there was Eartha Kitt, who happens to be African-American. The to-film roles changed several times and this movie actual set itself apart to explain the mythology behind Catwoman. It's not about who Catwoman is; it's about the women who are given the power to become Catwoman. Catwoman has always been an evolutionary figure for women. Not a racial one.
