Man I used to love this show and other's such as, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone, and The Outer Limits. Although I seen them only on syndication, these programs really brought some interesting entertainment on rainy weekends as a kid. Boris Karloff is just too CREEPY a host! His opening monologue is some of the best fare offered on television.

I was 9 years old in 1960 and prone to nightmares so this show was off limits and actually past my bedtime. But I was fascinated by spooky shows and snuck down to the bottom of the stairs and peeked around the wall to watch this episode. My parents were rapt by the show and I made it to the very end before they caught me. I remember every little bit of the show with the exception of Molly closing her coffin lid while Fred screamed. That was left to my interrupted imagination all these years.

There showing the 1st season online,of the ones i've seen that are the best are (the hungry glass, the grim reaper(two episodes with a young captain kirk)the cheaters(my favorite),the devil's ticke(2nd favorite)t,a good imagination, and yours truly, jack the ripper. The rest seem to be crime/mysteries,which are extremely dull dull, although choose a victim and the merriweather file, have a pretty good pre alfred hitchcock hour feel to them, with nice little twists.Only ones of that genre i watch.

@MrWilum i just brought the dvd at 90 pounds and worth every penny, great tv show.

@Jacbill63 Dick York and Bill Shatner stared in many memorable episodes of all of them. A Penny For your Thoughts is one of my fav TZ episodes ever, and Nightmare at 20,000ft is probably the most memorable.... I think I know every line of that one off by heart.

Its the first time I've seen Dick York in anything besides Bewitched. Great stuff!
Yes indeed, I think it's probably the best episode of the series, which incidentally is going to see official release next year!

Oh, man -- I just ordered the entire series on DVD, but it's not "official" that I know of. I'll have to get the real thing next year! This is exciting news.

Yeah, and according to Tim Lucas' Videowatchblog, there's going to be a ton of extras--commentary, interviews, etc with cast, crew, and historians. Supposedly the most important release slated for 2010!!!
