This is video of TWC's coverage of a severe weather outbreak in June 1993. There were a lot of severe weather watches, most of them tornado watches. Also features OCMs Jeff Morrow, Terri Smith and senior meteorologist Stu Ostro.

  • I took the time to count all the severe wx watches and counted 8, with 7 out of the 8 being tornado watches.

This was "Weather You Can Always Turn To" at its finest.

  • I will always miss the old weather channel.

  • Won't we all?

  • I miss the good old days of The Weather Channel. I used to love watching it during severe weather. Too bad they dont cover it like this anymore :(

  • @t80tank20 I know. I wish they still covered it like this today. :(

  • I love the Weather Channel so much and I am going to be taking classes when I get to college to become a Meteorologist. I'm only 14, so the fact that this was 1993, amazes me. It's awesome.

  • Jeff Morrow looks great then!

  • Jeff Morrow's just a boy there!!!

  • Gee, I remember when TWC used to talk about weather.

  • TWC was great back in the day ... you know? ... back when they forecast the Weather and didn't try to be "Celebs"? ... Now there are far too many Special Features instead of solid Forecasts ... TWC has slowly tried to become NatGeo for some reason and it's not working.

  • Wow - this takes me back when it was still about the weather. Stu Ostro especially looks quite young.

  • I remember when "Weather you can always turn to" actually meant something. Then came the days of Storm Stories and 100 Weather Moments and the wicked witch of th...oh I mean Heidi Cullen...
