the only problem is that we have to pay for medicare, medicaid, social security, welfare, education, etc. we have to get money from somewhere. Like it or not a lot of people are dependent on these programs and we can't just cut them off immediately. we need to encourage education and get people out of poverty first. that is almost impossible considering this recession has completely demolished the middle class. now everyone's poor except for the very rich.
