This is How Ritz Camera Fires Employees

Here's a video I made while talking to my District Manager for Ritz Camera and Image (formerly Ritz Camera Centers). I was told the day before that my store would be closing in 2 days and that my district manager would call me to discuss the process....little did I know that he would fire me. Enjoy

that sucks, my store in jersey was a tiny mall store that received inventory from 5 other locations. Those guys were all told the same way, if not on the day they closed for fear of theft. By the time I got the inventory, about a third of the phones and a couple lenses were gone...enough to the point where I just gave up taking inventory. on the last day the Guy in charge of the Shut-Down was giving away filters for spare change. Never thought it would STILL be better than my time at Gamestop

Soooo,did your DM even offer to relocate you to another store or was that it? When I lost the store I managered,I was sent to a higher traffic store until another opening came up.

I'm not sure how you expect people to let you go. Maybe dinner and a movie or something.

So you were on a boat...how's that guy supposed to know where you are? So did you just expect them to tell you when you got to work on Wednesday? Big "closed" sign on the door. Oh yeah, then you'd be upset because nobody called you..

It's not easy letting multiple people go anytime, anywhere. Give 'em a break.

It sucks for everyone.

my manager had to go to some store in northern texas to close it. he got there and no one told them the store was closing ._. he was like "uhhhh.....well....your store is closing....im uhm...here to help....no one told you??" veryyyyy akward.
