Hi there,
I was doing some experienting myself last week with those cement batteries and I found that you
can get some more voltage if you use cole instead of kopper.
I bought a sak of burning coles for a barbeque and useds one of the coles and it gave of 1.5 V instead
of 1.2 V.
Maybe you can us it.
Kind regards,
Karel

nice work dude! Inspiring as always.
i played with this circuit along time before i found out it was a hartley ..
and if it wasn't for the 1986 radio shack engineer mini notebook.. basic semiconductor circuits book i wouldn't still know it was a hartley circuit.. cause google images show that even the basic jt is a hartley..??
you do awesome work..

@koolerization ---Thanks. I wish that I has the full set of those Forest Mims electronics books. They still sell them but not at Radio Shack. The ancient oscillator circuits still work just fine. They are are alive and well. People like to change them a little here and there and call them something else ---but they are what they are.
