  • No matter what not everyone will be happy.

Not every Best Buy is hard on their employees and not every Best Buy employee is looking to shove extras down your throat.

I work at Best Buy and I love it. I like to offer our "extras" but I don't try to push it. I keep brochures and stuff on me just to inform the customer, because some people actually would like to at least have some kind of information on it.

Best Buy is an excellent place to work and I couldn't be a happier employee.

  • that's not the case in most stores... i work at one and all we're required to do is say hello to everyone who walks in our department and meet their unique NEEDS end to end... I'm not one of those salespeople that tries to make you buy stuff you don't want/need to (i'm not on commission so it doesn't make sense for me to do that). Also, I obviously have a soul.

  • @trollfan i really have compassion workin for best buy someday.

  • A positive attitude goes a long way at Bestbuy and for those who might be getting overlooked or griped at is it really you or your performace and I've only been with Bestbuy for 1yr and have way to many mobile devices lol

  • I actually love my job and I will say its sadly different in every store and even have had customers tell me they drove way from another store just to get help and buy a $2000 HDTV and $400 in services so sign*

I remember having those days to where it felt as if management was on you but its not the case just have a talk with your manager which hopefully is open minded and see why but only thing that would make me enjoy my job more is another raise :)

  • 7 years working at best buy and still loving it. I don't know what ppl talking about. Sometimes u make great sales sometimes u don't. The brochures are there bcuz most ppl were not offering services and opportunity for customers to save. It's a business for Christ's sake; and they've always stayed in business bcuz they do what they do.

  • @trollfan But I've quit and moved on to a new job which is 100x better. Best buy was so miserable that anything else is doable. I don't have some dumb, fake, phony ass manager breathing down my neck the first minute i clock in to the last minute around 11 PM where I spend cleaning up the fing department while they sit in their comfortable chairs going over the "numbers". But what does it matter? I'm only a statistic. They don't care about us because they'll mind fuck the next person in line.

  • @trollfan Best Buy was an absolutely terrible job. Large amounts of pressure and stress finished up with a little customer bitching. The managers are imbeciles who know nothing about their own products. But that doesn't matter because they have their teenage sales drones right by their side. "Lets go out and sell guys!" "We are the best team around!" But what do I get out of it? The satisfaction of my d-bag manager getting a huge monthly raise out of all my hard work. COOL!

  • i so remember working that holiday season, we made a lot of jokes about "wrap up the wow". sounds like a trojan commercial lol
