The last step is incorrect.
a^2-ab=0, and you cannot divide by 0.
As you can see, when one divides by 0, they get some messed up results.

No sean pendejos... ahí les va la respuesta

a^2 - 2ab = a^2 + ab -2a
pero
a^2 - 2ab = 0

AHI ESTA EL ERROR

2*0 = 0

dividió 0/0 solo insertó una indeterminación

¡¡¡PENDEJOS!!!

99% of you guys just missed the point
its more than just dividng by 0, the equation
is impractical.....lets say a and b are NOT
equal...now 2 can equal 1...more examples...
2a=1a 2=1, 12(a-b)=4(a-b) 12=4,
1,947(a^2*bcd^43-17ef)=6,895(a ^2*bcd^43-17ef)
1,947=6,895
anyone seeing a pattern here??

No, a=b. But a²-ab = 0, and you can't divide by zero.

so it's equal to a(a-b)= 0. Then a=0 or a=b.

a²-ab = a(a-b) = 0, yes. This does not mean a or b are 0, nor exclude it. The thing is that a-b = 0, since a=b. a-a=0, a-b=0, b-a=0 and b-b=0. So anthing times a-b would also become 0.
