A quick clip from today's practice, shot using my iPhone 4, and audio normalised in iMovie. Couldn't play at all consistently today, but managed to get over 19mil after bonus tally in stage1, which is a new best, and a good springboard for better scoring in later stages.

Key point here is to destroy the midboss as it is firing the second part of its aimed spread pattern - this is a timing kill, and will allow you to push your gem count to over 4,200 after the floating islands.

The first form of the boss is timed for maximum scoring on the spread pattern, while the second form is speedkilled using a pointblank Laser. You are aiming for a gem count of around 6,800 or higher.

  • Good stuff Icarus. Appreciate the video. I've had Mushi Futari for almost a year and still haven't been able to 1cc or get a decent score. These videos are definitely helping!

  • @CasioVLtone0887 You're welcome. I'll try and put something up for st2 and st4 at some point in the next few days, as I'm working on improving my route through both those stages - I can Extend before the st2 midboss once every two plays now, and my st4 run is improving in consistency.

Stage 5 will have to wait a while, lol.

  • @IcarusFW I've been able to get through st1 with a gem count of around 6000-6500, but I'm usually too focused on switching shots and get hit by a totally obvious bullet. I'm eager to jump back into Futari now, so thanks for that hah. Maybe I'll focus on Original mode until MMP&PS drops in late February. Woo!

  • @CasioVLtone0887 Good luck in Futari. ^_- A quick glance at the overall counter is all that's usually required, no need to focus too hard on shot switching - in some cases, its better to control your counter to maximise scoring, rather than chase big gems (looking at you, st2).

I'm focusing on original until MMP! &PS, too. Totally stoked for that.
