The first of many surgeries for our daughter with her non fusion rods in her spine. She will have 2-3 surgeries a year until she is 16. We only have 10 years to go. Good luck to everyone out that that has been affected by scoliosis in one way or another. Whether its family or friends, the best thing you can do for them is to be there, no matter what...

  • i read a post you made on someone else page that your daughter has surgery every 6 months this was the case for my daughter she was diagnosed at 7 she will be 12 next month she had her growing rod removed in June because her curve started getting worse well she will have a spinal fusion next week and this surgery will be just as seriious as the first one, so I have been watching vids, I havent posted a vid ofher journey wished i did but i will document this last surgery, I pray God will bless

  • My only girl best friend/classmate has scoliosis. My boys best friends & I want to help her back to feel better then painful.

  • Thanks for sharing this. My grandson had the extension rods through 4 surgeries, but the last one all the rods and screws fell apart! The infections messed it all up and he is scheduled for the fusion this April 12th, 2010. I hope all goes well with your daughter and she never has to have the Harrington Rod fusion surgery.

  • Yay She still smiles. She is a cutie.
