@thiefguy852 For the gong, now you have the basics of simple it is much easier. Drum.. hmm.. you will get used to it. Try to mix your own beats and try not to be too repetitive. For lion dancing, ALWAYS follow the beats.. Well it is depend on what style you want to learn. For HokSan it is smooth, lively, creative, playful etc... For traditional chow gar you have to be fierce and all of your movements are pinpoint. I dont know what else to give you but I know that right now I cant think right.BYE

@thiefguy852 best tips for you is to working hard and be dedicated..

not a lot of people that work hard like to lion dance and vice versa.. so it's best if you have both.. Do not ever say that you cant do it. Believe that you CAN do it and achieve it. Dont let anybody let you down keep your head up. Okay time for the tips.. haha

for cymbals, listen to the beats of the drum. First practice by listening and following it by clapping. This was one of the first thing i learned from Yun Yee Tong VN
