This video is basically about exploring the lies that you have been told over the years that have taken away from your ability to have full, thick, head of beautiful, healthy and moisturized kinky hair. This video talks about the fallacies that unfortunately still float around the black community and how these lies serve to stunt your hair growth. I will also talk about the things that you should do to keep your hair moisturized and healthy. I hope that this video helps you to make better decisions to keep your hair beautiful and growing. Enjoy and feedback is of course welcome!

The products that I used in my hair for moisture for this simple twist style was my own shea butter cream mix with argan oil, aloe oil and vitamin E, Pure Aloe Vera Gel, unrefined shea butter, extra virgin olive oil and glycerin. I also spritzed my hair with a little water mixed with glycerin a little grape-seed oil and virgin olive oil for natural shine

A great site to learn about black hair and chat with other informed women

On youtube another great person that gives excellent advice is Napturale85 and Kimmaytube. Check them out they have beautiful hair and their not trying to sell you a whole bunch of stuff

  • I have been growing my hair for 5 months and since the weather chnge I have had a boat load of breakage. How can I keep moisture in my hair and stop the breakage?

  • Thanks for this video. You're very pretty and your mini twists are so cute!

  • I'm a newbie ( 6months post) and this vid is very helpful.

. Im Currently transitioning and when I'm 1 year in I'm going to get rid of the rest of my relaxed ends!! Thank you thank You thank you for being honest and upfront!! I subbed after I saw only 1 of ur vids lol :)

  • Clipping your ends stop breakage, so your hair APPEARS to grow faster because it doesn't break as much...but you're absolutely right. IT DOES NOT HELP! I have 4b hair and my hair is doing surprisingly well. Big hint...CO WASH ONLY! It doesn't strip your hair's oils like shampoo, YET your hair will still be clean.

  • I feel you that "start over" I just did it in June and I regret it now because I would have had so much growth BUT, I find that I am now taking better care of my hair so it is growing faster than before

  • Great info I'm 3c in nape area everywhere else a little 4a mainly 4b. Love it

  • THANK YOU!:)

  • @IWANNAbeforGOD LOL oh nooo here was about 18 months of growth, now my recent videos are of my hair after I semi-big chopped (I cut off half my hair length about 6 or 7 months ago). Its a learning experience but try my methods and see if you see any improvements! If you have any questions, join my facebook page and ask your questions, im on there ALOT more then youtube. Its "Lady keys natural hair apge and its a community of naturals so I wont be the only one to respond ")

  • @IWANNAbeforGOD What do you mean chica, I was natural for around 18 months in this video ( I wasted alot of time being uninformed about how to grow healthy long natural hair but I was way past the 8 month mark here ")
