Every day, nearly 21,000 children die—and they don't have to. They die from causes most people in the U.S. rarely worry about. Malnutrition. Unsafe drinking water. Lack of an affordable vaccine. UNICEF is doing whatever it takes to reduce child mortality and reach a day when the number of children dying from preventable causes is not 21,000—it is zero.
It amazes me, daily, that there are people who are actually good, for lack of a better word. People who truly care.
While we're looking in the mirror, worrying about a teeny-tiny zit, children half my age are worrying about how they're going to survive.
So, thank you, UNICEF, for decreasing world suck.
