Most top iranian politicians are from Azerbaijan. Including Mosavie and Khatamie.

Azerbaijan influenced iranian history a lot. many of IRanian heroes such as Babak KHoramdin, Satar Khan comes from Azerbaijan . Safavid dynasty were Azeri, but they respected iranian heritage and ethics groups. these acts are not a good way to appreciate azerie people. I lived in Tabriz for more than 3 yrs , and these people are among the most intelligent people in Iran.
