they are HIGH SCHOOL kids, please! I think it rocks.

It kind of makes me upset that it was obvious the people playing instruments onstage weren't really playing...
But the dance was pretty good. We did this at my high school a couple years ago. They actually put dents into the hats to make it easier to do the dance.

Wonderful Joy and Blessings to ALL!

I believe these kids! I was in a production of this show in Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 1984, and some of the other men rolled up hankies into a circle under their hats and then nestled the bottle into the indentation on top. I DID NOT, as I wanted to feel the suspense and pure joy when I made it through the "drag on your knees" part without dropping my bottle!!! What a feeling - all these years later, I STILL get goosebumps watching it. Thanks guys!! Tom Gallagher, Toronto, Ontario

what;s the song called?

@MrOtherthere I applaud your balance. I couldn't do it.

@MsrEnjolras Even more impressive, then. With my knees, I couldn't do that last move even without the bottle!

@Largo64 I have danced that part in an other production of the Fiddler of the Roof, and we didn't use velcro. If the bottle is heavy enough, it's not falling down.
-
we just did this in jr high and everyone said it was better than a high school performance... XD but we had the bottles duct taped to the hats...lol cuz we didnt have enough time to practice. and even so one of the guys bottles fell off XD

@Largo64 my high school is putting this on right now and they did not use velcro for the bottles. The hats just have a large dip in them so it's a little easier. But, it's still hard.

MAgnets....
Nice job. But I don't believe there was no Velcro. Even in the movie they must have used Velcro. How many takes do you think they could afford?
